1. What this site is

CarePlan65.com ("the site") publishes educational information about Medicare, with a focus on California, and provides an interactive educational questionnaire ("the check"). The site is operated privately and is supported by clearly labeled partner compensation as described on our How We're Paid page.

2. Not advice, not insurance

Nothing on this site is insurance, or an offer to sell insurance, or individualized insurance, legal, tax, medical, or financial advice. The check is an educational tool that maps general rules to broad situations; it does not know your full circumstances and does not recommend any specific insurance plan. Before acting on anything you read here, verify it against the primary sources we cite (Medicare.gov, SSA.gov, CMS, the California Insurance Code) or talk to California's free HICAP counselors (1-800-434-0222), a licensed insurance agent, or another qualified professional.

3. No government affiliation

The site is not connected with, endorsed by, or affiliated with Medicare, CMS, the Social Security Administration, the U.S. government, or the State of California.

4. Accuracy and change

Medicare's rules, dollar amounts, and deadlines change every year, and sometimes mid-year. We date our pages and cite sources, and we correct errors when we find them, but we cannot promise the site is complete, current, or error-free at any moment. The rules that bind Medicare and insurers are the ones in federal and state law, not our summaries of them.

5. Acceptable use

• Don't scrape, republish, or misrepresent this site's content as your own.
• Don't use the site to attempt to harm, deceive, or defraud anyone.
• Personal, non-commercial reading and sharing of links is what the site is for.

6. Third parties

Links and phone numbers on the site lead to third parties: government programs and labeled licensed insurance partners. We are not responsible for their content, their conduct, or the products they offer. Your dealings with any third party, including any insurance purchase, are between you and them.
